that an airbus a330, you can see the wingspan difference between this and the a320/a321/a319
also the wingtip is wider

yep happened to me in a storm in Acapulco :) …. the man sitting in front of me collapsed :) … I was not bothered at all but after working for an airline for years and flying so much, I think I would not be so comfortable if this happened today

I’m a pilot and I know that even if Crosswinds were 65mph (60kts), he wouldn’t even attempt to land at Dublin and would just divert to Shannon. Thats an A330 aircraft, and x-wind maximum is 28kts (33mph) so its probably in that red-area.

Ah you poor thing! It can be a little daunting when you are already fearful as it is. Please just know, that they are no big deal, and completely standard procedure to a pilot. There is nothing too special about them, and may occur due to another plane being on the runway still, or at the pilots discretion if the approach isn’t to his satisfaction. :)

wow i went through an aborted landing like you, but mine was very very abrupt because the pilot saw on the last minute that the airplane hadnt fully cleared out of the runway. but the passengers didnt know, and specially me (im naturally scared of flying), had a panic attack, i started crying and trembling on the chair, then when landed 15 minutes later, everyone clapped. i couldnt because i was still holdoing on to my seat.

It looks like she’s having some serious sinus problems with the pressure. Maybe she should go for a Valsalver manouvre and re pressurise her head. (Poor spelling).

This happened to me in Rio last week. I am glad I had a few bacardi’s in me at that stage.

very good pilot if he aborts it nice to know he’s keeping the passengers safe.

I know they’re spending a few quid in Dubai but the way they’ve terraformed it to look exactly like the coast of Ireland is downright amazing.

um how were you using a camera during landing?

This happened to me when i was flying back from Dubai to Newcastle on a A330.200 in the gales back end of Jan this year…The plane was all over the places, We landed 20 minutes later after flying over the airport 2 more times landing on the 3rd…It was class until we got told we might have to go to Manchester airport, then i thought, shit.
