ahh! okay! and isn’t it the 747 the only Boeing plane PAL has? because Philippine Airlines is now known because the only airliner to have complete Airbus Family? and I looked up to the PAL site they removed 737 from their fleets leaving the A320 Family and the A330/A340 Family and the 747-400 behind?

Philippine airline 737 are equipt with CFM56 engines from GE.All of this new aircraft specially from PAL are all auto land capable. And autobrakes system is design for abort take off.And all of this stuff is with PAL aircrafts for many years now.

Why does everyone go on about older classic jets? They do their job reliable and well, so whats the problem?! I get sick of modern boring stuff and boring people going on about older aicraft. I’m going to the Philippines and will again ride on good ole 737-200s with their distinct look and rocket-like sound, that i well remember for years when this type revolutionised domestic travel back home in NZ. Boring jobs here now incl the ugly 800 series.

so what? Classic sound from one of the worlds most revolutionary planes

The Air Philippines is using the Classic B737-200 Series which is using a “pratt & whitney” engines. The Philippine Airlines is using a Classic 737-300 Series, which is using a “rolls royce trent” engines, the 300 series is unuque, it has a “D” shaped engine. The A320 Family(used by Cebu Pacific:A319&A320) has an all weather auto landing system but the brakes are manual, but in A380 the brakes are included in the auto landing

Well Airbus has the new Technique and much more comfortable planes then Boeing but Boeing i think have the better History and are more organized then Airbus but everyone has its own point of View.

#14 garcijz on 08.24.08 at 5:28 pm

gamit namin ngyon airbus 800 no.1 high ehd ac

#15 gideon7819 on 08.24.08 at 5:38 pm

ok ang boeing, but since nung nakasakay ako ng A380 parang mas gus2 ko na ang airbus!

#16 rugby86 on 08.27.08 at 8:28 pm

Boeing aren’t old fashioned. They’re the BIG rivals of Airbus in the air-industry when it comes to selling aircraft. Yes, the Boeing 737 series is one of the best sellers of all time, IN THE MID-SHORT ranged planes. But airbus have got the A3129-20,21 etc to stand upto. Also they’re bigger models. Airbus is european manufactured, British,French and German. So yeah it’s pretty good.

but we shud rely that B737 is the bestseller alirline jet of all tym, but then mas maganda ang airbus family kase less ang accident n nag o occur than boeing..i shud know kasi aircraft mechanic ako ng PAL eh

#18 Treldman on 08.28.08 at 4:10 pm

AIRBUS is the BEST!!!! man………… Boeing is somewhat old fashioned already……

#21 jademage on 08.31.08 at 10:12 am

airbus maganda kasi gamit nila, control stick
at fly by wire sila

#22 luklal on 09.03.08 at 8:32 pm

Nilabas na nga ang 737-800 pero may development project ang airbus a320 na airbus nsr which will replace the a320 family and will enter into service in 2014 kaya walang problema ang airbus.

#23 kljigs500 on 09.05.08 at 11:30 pm

And I thought Air Philippines only had 732s or 737-200s

#24 quezacolt on 09.08.08 at 2:21 am

anong hindi na uso pag nilabas ang 737-800 baka malula ka, at airbus ang may problema ngaun,

#25 donmla14 on 09.10.08 at 9:17 am

PAL never purchased a B737-100, and it’s B737-200 not 737-100. And for your info, PAL didn’t took Air Philippines. It’s just a sister company.
