Go on Aer Lingus - you are giving the 2 big boys at Belfast International Easyjet and BMI a run for their money - by the hight sales Aer Lingus have sold so far - keep it going and well done
Great to see the Shamrock in Belfast Airport

Willie Walsh was a far better CEO driving the company forward. In the week that Mannion gets the payrise, baggage and fuel surcharges increase too.

Some more of his great ideas - spending millions improving each long-haul aircraft. starting a new customer service training programm with staff. Starting the first sucessful base outside of ROI, Belfast. Reaching profits 16% above expectations. I agree hes made some big mistakes but he’s also doing a lot of good. I wonder what Willie Walsh would have done if he stayed?

CEO Mannion, won’t pay staff their due increases; awards himself a hefty payrise. Another of his great ideas for the airline…Dubai, Shannon/LHR..

Aer Lingus also has some *HOT* stewardesses!

#11 RaydarUK on 07.17.08 at 9:38 pm

You’ll need A levels in Science and preferably a BSc degree, then Ryanair will pay for you to complete pilot training in New Zealand provided you sign up to work for them for a certain amount of time. Aer Lingus, like BA and many other national carriers, prefer to take on pilots who have served as military pilots.

I am intrested in becoming a comercial airline pilot. I would love to fly for aer lingus, as it being my national airline. It has allways being a great wish for me to fly for aerlingus. Any advice?

Not yet, the most likely routes to have seat back IFE are Chicago, San Francisco and LA. However a major upgrade is taking place and by next summer (2009) 80% of the fleet will be upgraded with new IFE and seatsn.

Do flight departing from JFK have IFE (seatback TVs) onboard?

#15 jkwasere on 07.29.08 at 5:03 pm

aer lingus only fly from dublin, too expensive and just annoy me!

#16 ramshock on 08.01.08 at 8:15 am

transplanko works for ryanair

#17 transPlanko on 08.02.08 at 3:22 pm

OK, point taken, just my experience then..more than once though, and hey, yes I am flying with them again to NYC in 4 weeks time…so let’s hope I have a different experience.

#18 S350XWB on 08.04.08 at 2:28 pm

what part is not a fact??

The part where you call their F/As bi*ches.

Aer Lingus still provide a great service (in my opinion) fares are low (at least all the ones I have booked) and more than 10 million passengers are expected to fly with them in 2008 (fact) so they must be doing something right.

#19 transPlanko on 08.07.08 at 6:57 am

what part is not a fact?? Yes they were bailed out by the tax payer more than once and yes, they charge you for everything bar the air you breathe when you are on board…fact!

#20 S350XWB on 08.08.08 at 8:19 am

Sorry you feel that way but that is your personal opinion of the airline and not a fact.

#21 transPlanko on 08.11.08 at 12:44 am

It’s a pity this video does not represent the Aer Lingus of today. They are a cut throat airline who have been bailed out by the taxpayer numerous times in the past when they were a semi-state company.
The majority of the flight attendants are bi*ches who feel a smile, like their bad tasting snacks no longer come for free on board.

#22 S350XWB on 08.12.08 at 10:41 am

No I made this when Aer Lingus was still evaluating the aircraft, so I used both in my video. They are still expecting 6 A330Es and 6 A350s for delivery in 2009 and 2014.

#23 jjbrien on 08.13.08 at 11:45 am

i noticed a 787 in your video is aer lingus now ordering these instead as i thought they went wiht a350’s

#24 blinkrdabomb on 08.13.08 at 7:46 pm
