this airport may not be the biggest of airports….but its one of the greenest…giving less C02 emmisions than heathrow, gatwick etc..

i went to bhx airport about a year ago if i was you go to ema its way better at bhx they call your flight then make you sit in this little room and then call your instead its so annoying.and when one plane takes off another one lands its very organised tho.

I really want to be a pilot when I leave University, I come from Worcetser and fly from Birmingham when I go on hols. Nothing would give a greater thrill in the world than to be flying this approach and seeing it from the flight deck-great vid jamesbhx!!!

Re reading the blurb regarding this posting I guess that in row 7 of a 737 300 a view is available therefore I must have been in the other type….whatever DO check it out!

Sorry..not sure which type as my sister in law booked the flight.A phone call to the airline might be an idea!

My kids had their first ever flight on a plane last weekend and bugger me …would you believe our row 7 was the only one without a window!!! Luckily we swapped to a spare row with a view just before takeoff and the kids could have a good look.

Hi, Chris Aston!

You be so right! MAN is a very nice and friendly airport for plane-spotting. The MAN Aviation-Vieving-Park is simply EXCELLENT. It features a very nice collection of retiered airplanes too. It is only a bíg shame, that the MONARCH DC-10 nose section and the very impressive BA Concorde were everytime closed to go inside when I visited MAN. And I visited MAN very often in the past few Years for Plane-Spotting. The Airport Terminal itself is very well build too.

It was Belfast Aldergrove on the BMI1024, landed early evening (1928 local actually!)

Yeh I have been there many times, Manchester also has some great viewing parks. I have a video on youtube taken at one of the viewing parks at manchester. Check it out.
