The logos and names of Washington State University, University of Washington, University of Oregon and Oregon State University will soon be sported by Horizon Air planes.
The Seattle-based airline, a subsidiary of Alaska Air Group Inc. (NYSE: ALK) will repaint four CRJ-700 airplanes in its fleet that were previously used by Frontier JetExpress. The planes needed to be repainted anyway, Horizon Air officials said. The first plane repainted will sport WSU’s logo on the tail and on the fuselage later this month, followed by logos of Oregon, Oregon State and Washington.
Horizon currently flies to three of the colleges’ home cities: Pullman, Wash.; Eugene, Ore.; and Seattle. Oregon State is located in Corvallis.
“We expect this will thrill fans of the school teams, and put a smile on the faces of graduates, current students and university staff,” said Dan Russo, Horizon’s director of marketing and communications, in a statement.

I just wingwalked this plane last night at work
Cougars are the lowest form of pussy the Huskies get. After those skanks are kicked to the curb after each game we slaughter them at…the Huskies get all the good lookin’ gals. Cougars just get their own hands.
Huskies suck!!!
my school is a big dump LOL
Do you normally suck your own dick? Gee, you can’t even pay to suck someone off, I see. Sucks to be you.
No, they do not. It is cost-ineffective and they were made to be disposable. They’re trash after being painted over anyway.
HUSKIES!
Do they recycle the paper templates???I hope they do.
this is pretty freakin sweet!! WSU is awesome for sure! Go Cougs
Horizon BLOWS! Wow great idea to paint em’ then sell em’…..real fuc—- smart. I do hear that turboprops are the future…Hey Jeffey where is my fuc—- mug you bitch? All these years as a pilot for QX and a fuc—- mug? Gene put down the donut!!
I had the horrible misfortune of having to ride on this pathetic excuse for an airplane. The entire flight I was filled with fear that the pilots would take me to hell on earth, aka Pullman. I wish that someone would take it to a field and destroy it so no one has the displeasure of having to fly on or see this aeronautical scar in any airport again.
damn thats a small plane
I saw your mention of Republic Airlines. That line had been absorbed by NWA some years back. I guess I will have to put up some pic postcards of that grouping. I have a couple of cards showing the same dc9 in different colors. Yeah, gotta do that.
Horizon is owned by the Alaska Air Group. The deals and agreements in the industry are confusing most of the time. Frontier has filed for bankruptcy protection but it will still be operating. They seem to know what their doing and I would be surprised to see them close shop anytime soon. But then again, you never know.
Plane made a stop at KSJC! =D
Republic Airlines slowly began replacing Horizon Air as the operator of their feeder service, Frontier Airlines operated by Republic Airlines; Frontier JetExpress, which was operated by Horizon Air, ceased operations on November 30, 2007. So Nope.
They have Codeshares with Lynx Aviation,Republic Airlines & Great Lakes Airlines.
ok, one never knows about these hookups. Horizon currently, at least in Sep last year, has/had an arrangement with Alaska Airlines. I see in 9news online (denver) that Frontier is in bankruptcy. Too bad because it’s a nice airline. If oil prices keeps going up, what will the big time ceos ride around in?
Horizon operated Frontier Express up until a few months ago. It has always been a Horizon aircraft.
nice video but I think we won’t see that jet in Big 10 country lol
looks to me as if Frontier sold their regional to Horizon or maybe it was a leased aircraft. Still, a fun video and great idea for it !!!
does frontier jet express still exist anymore? i didnt know that frontier had an express division of there airline?
Poor Frontier JetExpress Plane.
This is an awesome video. Do you work for Horizon or something? ? ?
i love the music!
Cougar Football Saturday!!!
