Ah, it was a very turbulent fly, because the weather was very bad. That was the reason because we were having over 11 hours delay, because Franfurkt (FRA) was closed for several hours due to lightnings etc.
The passengers were happy to arrive at their destination, because our flight was not canceled. Thats why they were applauding so much!
Yes, thats right!
i love the way everyone applauds ILS/autoland approaches… yet when a pilot flies a bumpy visual - a lot more work, they get no recognition.
