Very moving video. I interviewed with WJ when they started up in 1996 with just 3 737-200s.

That’s a great compilation video. Good to see so much of the footage I directed in there. It was a lot of fun working on those WestJet corporate videos over the years.

I couldn’t have said it better myself. Both airlines are wonderful and we as Canadians should be proud!

Kool vid!
Lotta hatred between the AC and WJ supporters… does anyone care to think that both are excellent companies? For WJ to compete with an established legacy company, and for a legacy company to compete against a discout carrier in such a small market is great accomplishments for both?

veryunique is about as unique as all those other MISERABLE Air Canada staff.

Thank God for Westjet, or I’d still have to fly with those incompetenet sourpusses at Air Canada. Air Canada slogan: “We’re not happy until you’re not happy!”

#20 devonscanada on 08.30.08 at 6:18 pm

yah veryunique, incase you haven’t noticed no one cares.

#21 veryunique on 09.01.08 at 11:26 pm

Would this be following the law of supply and demand. NO. Would consumers and WestJet clients care that WestJet wasn’t following established capitalistic principles and practices? NO!

#22 veryunique on 09.03.08 at 1:56 am

Would it be brought to court by anyone? NO. Would its competitors be angry? YES.
Would WestJet clients (such as myself) be happy? YES. Would WestJet become even more popular and attract more clients? YES.

#23 veryunique on 09.03.08 at 3:36 am

The law of supply and demand is NOT a legal law, and WestJet is not legally bound by any REAL LAW to subscribe to it. I wonder what would happen if WestJet did NOT hike the prices of the last few remaining seats on its flights?

#24 veryunique on 09.03.08 at 11:00 am

WHY? Does WestJet really think that by raising the price of those remaining seats will somehow fill the seats up whereas they would otherwise remain empty if the cost of the seats was NOT increased?
